Every article is free to read, download, share, and reuse under CC BY 4.0. Authors pay nothing and keep their copyright.
A fully open access journal
The Journal of Global Perspectives in Communication and Media is a diamond open access journal. All articles are freely and permanently available online to anyone, immediately on publication. There is no subscription, no paywall, no registration requirement, and no embargo.
JGPCM follows the definition of open access in the Budapest Open Access Initiative: readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, and use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.
Licence
All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Anyone may share and adapt the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided they give appropriate credit, link to the licence, and indicate whether changes were made.
Copyright
Authors retain copyright in their articles. By publishing with JGPCM, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to publish, distribute, and archive the work, and agree that it is released under CC BY 4.0. Authors may reuse their work in any way, without asking permission.
Fees
JGPCM charges no fees of any kind: no submission fees, no article processing charges, no page or colour charges, and no fees for figures or supplementary material. Readers pay nothing. The journal runs on volunteer work by its editors, board members, and reviewers, and on free hosting, so there are no costs to pass on to authors.
Self-archiving
Authors may deposit the submitted version, the accepted manuscript, and the published version of their article in any institutional, funder, or subject repository, on personal or departmental pages, and on scholarly networking sites, immediately and without embargo. Please include a link to the article's page on this site.
Text and data mining
Readers may carry out text and data mining on the full text of JGPCM articles. There are no technical or contractual restrictions on such use.
Preservation
Each article is published on this site at a permanent address, with its own PDF. Archived copies of every article page and PDF are captured in the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine at publication. The editors also keep complete copies of all published files. The journal plans to join the PKP Preservation Network when it moves to Open Journal Systems.
